Lined up with Greg and D. Hall for the 3/4's Plus One race at Ault Park. I was looking forward to this, as the race was twice the length of the 4/5's race and I would have some teammates, which is always more fun.

I never really found my groove in the race. The pack seemed sketchy, at least, that was my feeling. Perhaps it was just me ;) In any case, I found myself frequently drifting down toward the back. Which is not a great place to launch any sprints from. I did give one of the sprints a shot, trying a line up the inside, but got boxed in and had to ease up.

With two laps to go, I found myself on Greg's wheel, and heard D. Hall behind me telling me to not lose that wheel. Which I managed to do less then half a lap later. Greg slipped into the middle of the bunch, and I elected to move D. Hall up on the outside. With his voice guiding me from behind, I kept him hear the front and lead from there for most of the final lap. I drilled it down the hill, trying to string out the group. I then managed about 20 feet up the hill before my legs cried "enough".

While I didn't manage to snag any points, I had a lot of fun racing together.
