A big thanks to the guys who came out to lend a hand: Jim Havey (all day), Jim Beers, Christoph, Brad Leach, Todd Paul, and even David Lane from Main Street. And to Greg for the flier.

I lined up with Christoph, Jim, Dave Acker and D Hall in the 3/4's in a field of 33. I honestly thought I would have a good shot at a top 10 for the race. Boy, was I wrong. I never felt good, and as as the race progressed, I was having to work harder and harder to stay with the group. I gave up the ghost on the backside on the final lap, when I just couldn't close a gap. I crossed the line in 16th of 27 finishers. I'd blame the heat, if only I could get away with it.

Given the 3/4's result, I opted out of the Masters race. And worked on a really juicy sunburn instead.
