Lined up with Brandon in a 60 strong 4/5's field for the near Waddy. It was a beautiful day for a race, really gorgeous weather. The first 2/3 of the initial lap were probably the worst brake and go racing I've even been in. The officials made a strong statement about their intention to disqualify anyone who crossed the yellow line. And the yellow line rule was being enforced throughout the race, up to and including the finish line. Which led to a problem, given that, approaching the finish, the field was pretty much intact, 4-5 across a narrow road, all twitchy as hell. I was playing it on the edge, riding the yellow line looking for an opening. Turned out to be a bad decision. About 100 meters to go, the guy in front of me touched wheels with someone, swerved wildly and left me nowhere to go. Over the yellow in full view of all. Disqualified. To make damn sure, I finished the race on the wrong side of the yellow.

Still, a glorious day to be out on the bike. Great to get another race in with Brandon as well.
